Wait Until You’re Ready ….

When it comes to romance don’t rush into things. I know many of us are so picky these days with apps, we forget that it’s not all about looks. We can even be too hard on ourselves and the way we look. I know I am one of them. Waiting until I’m ready. If now isn’t a good time, then you don’t have to do anything that you’re not ready to do in life, including giving yourself to another, or being on the receiving end entrusted with someone else’s heart. We aren’t always in the best places in life, to handle such precious facts of life with care, including hearts. You come first. Not until you are ready, healed and move on, will you be ready to start anew and put yourself back out there, until then wait. You’ll be glad you waited instead of forcing yourself to take on commitments in life you aren’t ready for. I know timing is everything, and especially now everything can feel like a rush. Don’t be rushed. There are days, weeks, and months to wait in between now and then, and it’s better to wait until you are ready and strong enough to be in intimate relationships, before doing so.

Right now especially in the age, of ghosting and mental health, the worst that could happen if you’re not ready and if it’s not a match, is to face rejection, and that’s a risk not worth facing at a time in life when you may be feeling: weak, vulnerable, and hurt. Eventually you will get to a place in life, where you will be so totally okay with yourself, that there is nothing you are afraid of talking about, or anything left that has not already been discussed in therapy that could come out talking to a complete stranger. Remember when it’s new, it’s all about making a good impression, and its all about feeling good about yourself, that’s what people want, someone who feels good about themselves, and also makes others feel good. So be that person, and if it take you a minute to get there, and get over minor aggravations, personal dilemmas, job woos, get over that stuff first before planting yourself online for the picking. You can do this, don’t give up, and stay positive!
