I am not someone to leave things until the last minute, I usually like to give myself time to put things together and to present, which is why I appear prepared, we just need to make sure that the populations most vulnerable, including women and girls, and minorities are protected. In fact there has been a movement toward making research more inclusive and diverse. Stating, “There are initiatives in clinical research to make clinical trials more inclusive and diverse. There has been a lack of diversity in subject populations that participate in research.” (citiprogram.org)
Federal agencies have issued statements and guidance to support diversity and inclusion in research. Since 2001, NIH policy has required inclusion of “women and members of minority groups and their subpopulations” in all NIH-funded clinical research, unless there is a clear justification that “inclusion is inappropriate with respect to the health of the subjects or the purpose of the research.” This policy aims to ensure that research findings are generalizable to the entire population. Despite this policy, there is still a lack of diversity in clinical trial populations.”
Such risks being brought into question are sex/gender and racial/ethnic differences in intervention effects for NIH-defined Phase III clinical trials and to make sure “research will be carried out in a manner sufficient to elicit information” that reflects the diversity of such individuals of both sexes/genders and diverse racial and ethnic groups. It’s important to examine differential effects on such groups. I know as a blogger, I have a very wide audience range, and with that comes responsibility, to make sure that my content falls within the expected kinds of content that I advertise on my about page, blogging history page, and informed consent. I learned today that the more you inform in advance the less of a chance that someone participating as a reader of your content is likely to be shocked or read something unexpected harmful to their health. I think about this a lot, what’s unexpected and harmful to your health, its like an argument that hurts to hear, or something that shockens your body to witness, are examples of the types of content to beware of sharing for instance if youre a blogger, to always inform in advance, and maintain a system of informing your audience, so that theyre prepared for anything.
I think the lack of preparation that everyone feels in a time of crisis is normal, it’s hard to plan ahead and prevent, but that doesn’t mean that there should be arguments along the way and ill feelings in regards to who can keep going and who cannot (allow slow downs to navigate who to go by or who to trust, or view any slow down or change in input reflective of a lost capacity or sub-standard, sometimes discussing the nitty gritty of that: (insurmountable feeling of overwhelm that causes me to faint, or feel like a huge weight has been placed on me so much so that I can’t move) is the exact type of imagined impossibility of ability I would wonder is not unique to me, in the face of a large task or a big project or a serious subject, not everyone is capable of making it past those states of overwhelm back into a productive spirit that people get for free sometimes, and don’t have to pay for. I wouldn’t wish lack of motivation or standstill or ill feelings taking over anyone that’s too much, so be sure that what you are doing and saying doesn’t conflict heavily with traditional ways of thinking and behaving or addressing concerns, so many people are sensitive nowadays and suffering, and Im not far from someone who feared repetition of crimes, especially coming from a big case, was greatly affected by crimes against women and girls (in the news), without advertising myself as a role model or failed in anyway professionally to provide advocacy, that was my experience, lucky that I could help, and wouldn’t want my luck to change over anything. Just to be clear on how shocking and scary crimes are let alone to address and help alleviate the fear of it happening again, or insinuate that any system more feminine is up like a website that puts people like me at risk of harm, who are beautiful and intelligent, youthful, at peace, a woman or girl.
This is more than The Women’s March, and the Barbie movie, it’s about thinking about why we are choosing to have a more female centered focus right now, and focus on what empowerment is for, to provide guidance and assistance to at risk populations, not to put them at risk of harm, over representing a gender in popular media, only to see the same types of famous crimes occurring on women, is wrong to ignore what could have caused them to be victimized, and put in jeopardy changing an entire system to focus more on females or cater to women and girls and not speak to prevent. According to CITI Research “the primary aim of research is to provide scientific evidence leading to a change in health policy or standard of care.” And by this statement I mean for all, such as my world wide audience, who are all benefiting from being taken care of by me, explaining things to them, without leaving them stuck, or scared, on issues, or news, feeling powerless, or incurring a feeling negative that they are not aware of what’s causing that feeling to occur, is why there is such an important unstated affect of how our Country is viewed, don’t we want them to think we are smart, don’t we want them to respect us, don’t we want them to want to help us, don’t we want to help them. And don’t we want to provide a better sense of agency in people capable of taking on caretaking positions, no matter what their disability is, such as myself.
