Mental Health Blog

Like Most of Us ….

Like most of us, we are tired of living in fear. The news keeps getting worse and worse, and even crime in our own neighborhoods, are keeping us home at night, and fearful of being followed or robbed at gun point. What can be done. It starts with making smarter decisions for yourself, and instead of saying this system is messed up and theres nothing that can be done about it, start thinking about what you can do to live a safer life and be out of harms way. Whether that’s getting a gym membership, not walking alone at night, calling the police to make reports. Protect your mental health in ways, that you do not allow what is happening in the world to make you sick, or live fearfully, there is always a time to get back to normal, and it’s something you work towards.

The other night I woke up in the middle of the night and was having nightmares. I think having nightmares and waking up in the middle of the night, shows fear, fear of what is, fear of what could be, and fear of uncertainty. I can’t say that my time away from blogging was any better compared to what my mental health is like having blogged everyday. All I can say is that making drastic changes like not blogging, not writing, or being off social media, made me feel like I was at odds. It made me feel less capable, and it made the bullying voices worse, not better. Right now Im keeping sober, and doing my best to stay positive, and to not allow fear to keep me from blogging, or be worried, or be offline, because the world is too dangerous, or I could be stalked, or watched and hurt. There are so many good reasons to be alive and help others, quell fear, and that’s why Im blogging again.
