You Will Find What You Seek …..

One of the biggest lessons I learned in life is to not go out into the world chasing danger its like if you call upon it it will find you, like a nightmare of circumstances can leave you feeling torn broken and lost, but don’t worry you wont be gone for long, if you seek help. That’s mental health, something bad happens, or nothing happens, not feeling well, it could be genetic, it could be trauma, it could be any number of things, but know that you always have the power to get help, repair, and heal again. What Ive learned as a blogger with experience being hospitalized, is that it can happen again, and while I wish I could shake a magical wand that brings me back to life everytime I feel sick, or put myself together in a second, it’s not always that way, and Im okay with that, so be okay with yourself in any phase of your development. I know to keep going you have to do the work, to keep going in life, and to stay well, something that we are all working on ourselves, taking good care of ourselves.

When I google searched this topic, they told me that this conversation “typically refer to content that explores the concept of confirmation bias, where individuals tend to actively search for and interpret information that aligns with their existing beliefs, essentially “finding what they want to see” by ignoring contradictory evidence.” [1] Furthermore, “since at least the 17th century that humans are inclined to form and hold on to ideas and beliefs — often tenaciously — even when faced with contradictory evidence, the term “confirmation bias” only became popular in the 1960s with the work of cognitive psychologist Peter Cathcart Wason (Lidén, 2023).” [2]

To me this most relates to who we are as innocent human beings, how we are seen by others, in the good or bad, and what people tend to believe. I think if people know you they tend to believe you are innocent and can’t visualize or imagine the bad, or don’t believe it, or stick up for you. I think in the event that you are made to look bad, there is a possibility for people to perceive you in that way, if there is enough being said, that would convince a person that you are something of the negative. This is how voices get complicated, you believe in yourself, everyone is nice to you, you have friends, you have a nice family, you have a nice job, but there for some reason, is a voice that you hear that does not like you, or is against you, and how then are you able to express that grievance out loud, without making people think that you are something bad, or judge your life in the negative. That’s how voices get extremely complicated, in regards to bias, either there is a bias spread about you, looking and search of confirmation to that negative opinion, or you continue on in life, improve, heal, and recover, not bothered by voices, as a confirmation and testament to who you really are.
