People Pleaser ….

It’s 4pm in the middle of the week I just had court and things have just begun looking up for me. Your typical people pleaser trying to make everyone happy and last to help herself winds up getting in trouble while helping others or at least thinking that she’s helping someone she loves. In the end so long as I don’t fail then I’ve not harmed anyone and that’s the tricky part about pleasing everyone staying well, not go into a downward spiral, not misspeak, get upset, be mad, resentful, unhappy, beneath, or put down in life all the stuff that makes for a terrible nightmare imagining everyone pointing at you mad at you not my desired version of reality not in a long chance. 

So why do we spend so much time trying to make other people happy. Maybe it’s something we wish for ourselves to be loved, taken care of, attended to. I think we all would like some assistance in life who wouldn’t want to be successful or earn a good living, be popular, or be like me just happy doing what she does best: writing. 

When you finally get to a place of success, or place of peace, when you can sit back reflect and admire your own progress be proud what prevents you from feeling good about yourself and how does not being able to make everyone happy make you feel about yourself. It’s a frustrating feeling to work so hard and not be able to make ends meet and earn a wage for your writing I know I’ve been working hard to get a job what about you? 

These are things we usually don’t talk about since after Covid most are unemployed or on disability in recovery or not working at the moment and that’s okay to share about how life is. We aren’t in the middle of a random mental health crisis this is it this is exactly what we all fear not feeling good. Why it’s so important to take good care of yourself and work hard so that in spite of whatever comes your way you don’t get sick or fall apart at the seams end up broken or used up. Have confidence. Lift your head up. Tell yourself yes I can. And go out into the world whole heartedly unafraid of people, moods, opinions, attitudes it’s not about you most of the time it’s about them not your problem. So do your best to keep going you come first, family comes first, friends come first, court comes first, work comes first, and clients come first. Everything else put on the back burner for now you can do this!
