I couldn’t sleep last night watching the Palisades fire, it wasn’t long before I texted someone official after I heard Haverford, that’s where my AA meeting in Palisades was I used to attend, across the way Palisades High School (which also burned down), where I grew up playing AYSO soccer, I was on the Palisades All-Star soccer team, and then went on to play club soccer, and in college. Growing up, I had friends that lived in the Palisades. As soon as I saw the quickly spreading fire, I contacted the US Navy on Messenger, and Justice Sotomayor, asking about why are they not sending planes in, later in the news they explained because of the wind and smoke, they were not allowed to fly, and also there was a Presidential order preventing flight. I was a victim of two fires one in Brentwood on Tigertail right by my old home, which was evacuated again last night. I told the US Navy at 5:28pm “we need help fire, in the Palisades by the mall,” the shopping area Elyse Walker which is like the Neiman Marcus of the Palisades is gone. The middle of town is now burning down including the Chase bank across the street from the mall, Im not sure if its still standing, I saw a winding staircase on the news, and Im pretty sure that’s the lobby of the mall. Maria Shriver sent a video and TMZ of driving by the Palisades from the street what it looked like today. At 4:50pm I messaged a government official “maybe you should send more fire fighters because the news is covering areas burning with no firefighters yet.” Later we were told there was a water shortage, as Caruso was interviewed on the news, reported. I was in therapy at 11 am, just talking about the fires on Tigertail and seeing a burnt butterfly and how traumatic that was. By 4pm driving home from picking up dinner I saw that the sky was orange it was a weird sunset it wasn’t until I got home at 4pm that my Mom told me there is a fire in the Palisades. By 9pm I was notified by channel 4 news that OC firetrucks would be coming. By 10:49am I heard Caruso lost his home, as he was interviewed on the news, “the fire hydrants weren’t working.” By 2:38pm (the next day) the rumored President who is in town was on TV, shared a post on Instagram stating that he would be providing 5 Air Tankers, and 10 firefighting helicopters. Channel 4 was previously listening to the emergency radio and reported that someone said we don’t have anymore helicopters. Just today driving in Marina del Rey, I saw two big black helicopters with two blades on either side, flying over Washington Blvd, and Im assuming heading to the Palisades. So much devastation, these are catastrophic losses, we are still in danger observing fires on going, people are receiving emergency messages to evacuate, and we have many lives to pray for at this time of loss. Do your best to stay positive, don’t be too judgmental toward politicians, for battling one another over resources and water shortages, TMZ showed Trump blaming Newsom, but really right now is not about determining fault, that is something channel 4 reported is ongoing investigation being determined by the police and Fire Department, it was reported the fire in the Palisades started in a backyard.

Update: The Pentagon sent 10 helicopters.
