When I heard at work that the job I was in was within a dying profession, I immediately felt concern while working in Film Distribution. One of my biggest heartaches was being invited to work at AFM in Santa Monica the American Film Festival and purchased a very expensive badge to work that week which was later given to another employee at the last minute. Prompting me to run two hours in the rain the night before AFM and strained my knee slipped on mud and tripped over a tree root on San Vicente, (came home cried hysterically at my desk) and the next day my Mom gave me a brace for my knee and ran on the beach for two hours outside of AFM, past videographers camera man filming right where I was running and ran right past them filming. The lesson is to be patient, no life is short that’s your only chance, don’t give up even when you think you’ve worked hard full time and ready deserving of representing the company you work for at a film festival.
