Learning a Big Lesson ….

Sometimes we learn our biggest lessons in life, if not too late, when under the care of others. I can’t say that the road to independence has been easy. Every so often I am reminded of my own strength, and the necessity to follow directions, its not frustrating, it sometimes feels like punishment, but its about getting strong again and not pushing yourself to extremes. For me learning to lighten up, was the first thing I thought coming home from the hospital, how little it mattered afterward, what was upsetting me, or what I was thinking about. I think we all deserve a second chance at that every once in awhile, to start fresh with our own thinking. Yesterday, I got so worked up about writing something in public, to let everyone know how I was doing, which only go more complicated after it had been written. I realized the circumstance existing, that if I get sick, how others would feel, and that’s feeling overwhelmed me, just needing to focus on myself for the time being. My therapist told me not to journal, and to take it easy. I’m hoping that everyone is doing okay. Adjusting to life off day meds, not taking adderrall for the time being, and focusing on my health for the next few weeks.

They say that the key to happiness is letting go. Letting go and leaving behind what’s no longer serving you. According to Forbes, this feeling of figuring out whats most important to you, in a crisis, and for everything else you were ruminating about to matter a little less, is called a “radical cleanup or reset of whatever is taking up energetic space in your mind, and in your life.” [1]

This feeling of whats important to you, is you figuring out what takes priority in your mind. No problem too small for comfort, at this length, we are all sticklers for perfection when it comes to feeling rules, and how to fully accept the things that we hear as relevant and speaking to our concerns. At this day and age, it’s like if its not enough, add more, and if you add more and it’s not enough, then we need a summary of what the main point is, it’s like the art of reading and figuring out life, needs to get broken down into pieces in front of us, before we are clear on its assembly.

“Letting go of the little things” means not allowing minor inconveniences, frustrations, or annoyances to significantly impact your mood or stress level; essentially, choosing to not dwell on small issues and instead focus on the bigger picture, promoting a more relaxed and positive mindset. “ [2] Don’t let yourself get wound up in uncertainty, all you have is now, and that should be good enough. You can’t predict and control for every reaction in life, or every response, the best way to not feel stuck in a chaos, or disorganized state, is to be in control, of your own thoughts be clear headed, not allow for everything to rip you apart. Put yourself together, and it’s the pieces of you, that others will have to learn how to navigate their own courses in life, even if this is the way you are.
