Be proud of yourself …

Create a life for yourself that you’re proud of. How you feel about yourself matters. Live with integrity, set good intentions, and live honestly. Don’t cut corners. Put the work in, and you’ll be glad you did it.

Have compassion for yourself. It’s natural to feel fatigue from caring so much. Caring too much is not a crime it means you’re a good person that cares about how you feel and how others feel. Often we overthink worrying what other people think, but what matters most is keeping in tune with your own thoughts, you can’t control others. The best form of leadership is leading by setting a good example to others, others will come to admire how you handle things and that’s what makes you more secure and makes others more secure around you.

According to Silk and Sonder, “Knowing how to be proud of yourself is a beautiful, wonderful thing.” [1] Furthermore they say “many mental health experts emphasize the importance of celebrating and taking pride in as many aspects of your life as you can.”

Be kind to yourself. You’ve come a long way. Think of all the hours you’ve put into improving and be proud of yourself and your progress. One day you will celebrate all your mini wins and overcome your most significant losses in life. Know that those who care about you want what’s best for you. You are cared for, you are loved, you can do this, a little positive self talk goes a long way. Lift yourself out of this rut reminding yourself that you can do this, no matter what anyone else thinks!
