Feeling lost is apart of the human experience, meaning we need to reevaluate ourselves and our lives. According to medium, feeling lost occurs when there “is a gap between what you think your life should be like and how it is in reality.” [1]
Don’t lose hope. Feeling lost requires that there’s room and a “need for growth … or change rather than a personal failure.” [2]
For me feeling lost occurs when I’m in between phases in life, the phase of I can’t do it, to the phase in action of actually doing what you need to do to survive in this world. Living is complex it’s not just a lifestyle choice. And don’t be hard on yourself for not living the lifestyle that you want to live compared to others. Don’t let that prevent you from doing what you need to do to be happy.
That “sense of disconnection” [3] remaining is you wanting to feel complete. No matter what you are doing in life it doesn’t mean that you are wrong for feeling that way, acknowledge your feelings as trying to communicate to you what needs work. “Feeling lost is not a sign of failure. It’s a signal. A message from your inner world that something needs attention.” [4]
