Take your power back …

Too often we give power to people places things and circumstances outside of our control. Don’t play victim. Start by moving from a victim mentality to an empowered one. [1] At times “We feel out of control, disempowered at the mercy of others.” [2] Take your power back. Don’t build resentments keep a positive head on your shoulders. The more we give power to things outside of ourselves the more powerless we feel in the face of adversity.

Part of getting strong again means we empower ourselves to overcome these obstacles in life whether it be a mental health issue we’re battling or an actual circumstance or person challenging us in life or our beliefs about a situation. Neither feeling compelled to change or change circumstances or people.

We are taking our power back when we simply say I can let this go, this is not my fault, I’m not going to waste energy on this. I am going to focus on myself, things will get better so long as I stay positive, I believe in a better outcome. I know that I can do better than this.
