Our parents and loved ones always remind us of how beautiful and talented we are trying to get us to believe in ourselves and one day you will if you’ve not realized yet how special you are. What will it take for you to stop being so hard on yourself? In the end our parents and loved ones won’t be able to buffer us from every storm in life and one day you’ll be on your own left to your own devices in life.
So nows the time to start being grateful for who’s around to love you and care for you and one day you’ll be able to care for others and yourself too! One step at a time. It starts with a firm belief in ourselves that we can and will accomplish a great many things in life and you deserve that much in life. Don’t sell yourself short.
Being a strong person means holding a steadfast belief in yourself even in the face of adversity. Holding true to your sense of morals and don’t let others stuff affect you and the decisions you make not easily swayed. We hone in those skills by building “mental resilience, emotional control,” learning to “cultivate strength by embracing discomfort daily, maintaining a positive, proactive attitude. [1]
We build this inner strength with a growth mindset. Having self-awareness through daily practices like mindfulness, self-care, and stepping out of your comfort zone. Set healthy boundaries and focus on what you can control, [2] and be thankful for the supportive relationships you do have.
Never give up to overcome setback and challenge, “don’t dwell on the past.” [3] Be strong emotionally and be resilient to all sorts of pressures in life. No matter what happens, know that people love you whether you think so or not. Be a selfless person and don’t forget to give back.
