Mental Health Blog

You can’t give up no matter what. There will be periods of struggle and darkness but all will dissipate the more work you put in to returning back to a stable state of mind. Always have a belief that there are better days ahead. What seems difficult in the moment can sometimes trick us into believing that things are worse than they are. Don’t isolate. Reach out for help, there’s always someone to talk to, you’re not alone. Reading helps and connecting with people going through similar difficulties in life.

They say that “Getting through difficult times takes patience, small steps, and intentional care for your mind and body.” [1] We tend to be harder on ourselves than need be. Skewing our perspectives in life feeling like things are heavier than they are. It’s harder to think your way through a problem without talking about it. Take it one day at a time. Try not to keep difficulty to yourself and find avenues to express yourself whether through writing, journaling, art, drawing, singing, listening to music, fitness, or joining a support group.

It’s difficult but it’s not impossible, believe in yourself you will get through this. Find strength by questioning your thoughts. Is what you thinking true, these are things you do have control over. “Let go of the larger circumstances you cannot change and direct your energy toward immediate, small actions. [2] There is “value of leaning on trusted friends, family, or a counselor.” [3] Reading this blog is one step toward helping yourself and others. Rely on trusted resources and people who have either been through it and come out on the other side or seek professional guidance on working through a problem with a doctor.
