Mental Health Blog

It doesn’t last forever building a connection with your audience takes patience and trust. I feel like I’ve been gone too long and never meant to upset anyone by my absence. I recently started a new job and have been working full time as a paralegal and took a short break from blogging since last spring.

I worked really hard on trying to blog while in treatment and share my progress along the way and be supportive of those who cared enough to read along. Sharing feedback I’ve been given and advice while in recovery from mental health issues and self harm.

It’s not been easy but found peace in being prescribed new meds and quit taking adderrall which I believe ended up not working for me after taking the medication for years. I’ve learned that when things are difficult sometimes you need change. And change is difficult and hard to accept that where you are in life is not where you want to be but can’t imagine a better circumstance until you start listening and quit trying to play doctor on yourself.

Although I’ve had good moments blogging as of recently there were moments when I struggled to communicate my cares in life and figure out how to help others. To me working and being stable and recovering is key to being able to be there for others.

Had I not gotten help I would not be able to work and blog again and be trusted with jobs and able to live on my own again. I’m exploring a new independence after many years of giving up my hopes and dreams to paralegal again I didn’t think I had it in me to start working again not until I got better. And once I got better I got to goal set again and apply for jobs one step at a time. You can’t just do everything at once.
