Do Your Best ….

Managing your thoughts can be incredibly daunting, especially for me as a writer, when choosing what content to write about online. I do take chances and test out new material and subjects and hope for the best. But not all things will blow over, and this is worth talking about. Before getting into the nitty gritty of uncomfortable subjects, think first what are you comfortable with, and the more comfortable you are the more likely you will make the reader feel comforted by your sharing. I know that the times have changed and most people have a stomach for some of the most dangerous subjects like crime and politics, or sexuality, but this is something I’m warming up to. We can’t all be experts in the field of our choice, just know as a blogger your voice is valid and heard, and do your best to sit with it, even if it gets uncomfortable, this is your voice, that takes getting used to, including becoming a character online, who for the best instills good memories on subjects we always hope for the best.

Most things you identify in life, identify with sensitivity. Think if I were this person in this person’s shoes how would I feel. This mostly occurs when you are talking about life, or talking about others or use the word “people” when you use words like that you immediately put people in the defensive, and make them feel like its about them. Do your best not to isolate when you write, yes its your subjective opinion, but make sure you are not writing as though a person is reading and thinks it’s about them, or causing them or others to feel uncomfortable. This I experienced most as a person connected to a big story, not to cross those who are already named to a story or team in life, you earn your way up, and that means keeping your problems to yourself, and making sure that even those distantly connected, are not affected by what you unearth or bring to life. That’s what makes a team effort, without actually doing business with people, signing agreements, and paying money or investing in one another’s success, of course I bought Good American, Kylie makeup, and Skims, that’s doing my part as a person connected to a similar story, to make sure that my path in life, does not affect theirs, sounds easier said that done. You would never believe how it feels to not be a celebrity, but to be online or get voices, and treated as though you are not one. Based on my experience I have been in paparazzi photos, with my best friend, and none published, so that says something about my health and privacy, that I was not exposed as a friend of hers, which is good.
