Today is a new day, what are you going to do today to help you stay positive. I recently started listening to podcasts on Spotify “The Daily” by NY Times, it’s great, my sister told me about it. Try to stay in touch with what’s going on, now’s a good time, to focus less on ourselves, and focus more on what can we do to help each other, get through this American tragedy. We aren’t new to devastation, one foot in front of the other, I know it’s hard, especially at a time like this, to fathom the ways in which people can and have been hurt, and over which issues like “Build a Wall.” I am a strong supporter of President Trump, who recently set up a tent in Marina del Rey in my neighborhood, by the local mall. Recently two women were beaten to death and raped a few blocks away from my home, and one woman was murdered. By the bridge, across the river in Marina del Rey. This hits close to home, not to mention the person who was stabbed to death on Washington Blvd, and the unsuccessful mass shooting that took place a block away, while I was living in Westchester in sober living. These concerns are serious, as an attendee of AA meetings, I can’t help but be disturbed and scared to attend meetings, when there are reports of active shooters in the neighborhood on the same street Washington Blvd, while I’m attending meetings. I briefly contacted Brady the anti-gun violence organization that President Biden is closely familiar with and has known longer than me. I met this organization via WIIDC a Washington DC summer job opportunity live and work in DC in the summer program I applied to 2010, for Summer 2011.
What does all of this mean. To me it means work harder, stay sober, do my best, introduce myself on the local neighborhood network and tell them about my blog. Take seriously my international stats and rising US stats, I think rising stats in the US says the most, given the competition out there, not to be someone online who is providing something that everyone else supplies, and really focus on what makes me unique, apart of, and justifiably concerned on a personal and local level.
So don’t lose faith, no matter what your faith is, or views on Judaism, Christianity, or Catholicism, my Mom is Catholic, so I was raised by a Filipina woman who reads the Bible, so I’m not far from the reality of religion according to non-Jewish people, don’t worry, Im a little bit of everything (#joelosteen), and if ever concerned with what my beliefs are please view my Instagram squares on @mymollydoll_ or read my story in short @mymollydoll1985, and updates on @mymollydoll___. I used to walk to temple on Yom Kippur with my Dad, he was Jewish, I always thought of Yom Kippur, while in AA, where we are told to pray and ask for forgiveness everyday and go over our day what we could have done better. I always felt like in AA I was being punished more than would ordinarily occur in any other religion. On Yom Kippur we ask for forgiveness one day a year, and thought that that was good enough.
