6 Ways to Put Yourself Together ….

Just what we needed, a little encouragement to freshen up and put ourselves together. This is exactly what self-love calls for, putting ourselves together. Whether its been a bad day or a bad week, eventually we must regroup, and redefine what it is we want in life, and how we plan to achieve that. If we are feeling less than our best, putting ourselves together, can help to put us in the right mind set to get the job done, and feel good about ourselves in the process.

6 Ways to Put Yourself Together

  • Get a Facial

Recently I have been going to the spa to get facials. And have noticed a tremendous improvement to my skin. Ater leaving sober living, I was feeling tired, my skin was dry, and I just didn’t feel like myself. Getting a facial can help you get your glowing skin back. She even did light therapy on my face, and noticed a huge difference, in how my skin looked, compared to looking dry and dull before. So invest in yourself, get that skincare kit, spend money on a facial, or your brows, its worth it. You’ll feel so much better about yourself, when you like the way you look, so keep trying.

  • Exercise

Sure we all feel the day the day stress of getting things done, and add to that list getting your steps in for the day, move! Usually when we feel tired and lethargic its because we aren’t moving enough, stand up, go for a walk, hit the gym, whatever it takes to get your energy back up, do it.

  • Pick a Nice Outfit

Don’t get too used to your sweatpants, its summer so you literally have no excuse to bundle up in sweats. When we put together an outfit, we are consciously making an effort to make a good impression, and when you make a good impression, you are more likely to feel good about yourself being seen. So don’t slack when you’re out in public. I never leave home without concealer, that’s just me. Everyone is different, focus on doing that one thing, before you head out, that makes you feel like your comfortable if you bumped into anyone you knew on that day, as a rule of thumb.

  • Be Out in Nature

Its summer, its hot, the weather is beautiful, why not go out and be in nature, if its not too hot out. Schedule a beach day, to just be by the water, even if its just driving by the water. Go for a walk at a nice park, and feel good just being in the outdoors, getting out of the house, choose a different scenery, there are so many beautiful parks and trails to visit, why stay home, do something different for yourself. Part of being bored is doing the same thing everyday, so change it up, go outside more.

  • Affirmations

Don’t forget to tell yourself, that you rock! That youre amazing. You’re an incredible human being with years on your belt, and have your whole life ahead of you. Be proud of yourself for how far you’ve come, and pat yourself on the back for making it through those hard days too.

  • Clean, Clean, Clean

It always feels more organized to just think, when your room is organized, or office space, or living spaces, so don’t forget to tidy up. For some reason, when I know where everything is, I just feel better, that’s how I am about most things. Make lists, build a daily routine, where you incorporate doing for yourself, what is needed, to feel better, don’t slack on chores.
