Be Gracious ….

Be Gracious ….

There are so many things to be grateful for. So why practice grace? As a good rule of thumb practicing grace in your life, and approaching life with ease, makes for a better experience for everyone all around. Don’t be the pushy, bossy, complaining type who puts everyone on eggshells. This is why we practice grace, having the same energy we put out into the world as we would like to receive back. Doesn’t it feel good, when people are at ease around you, when you’re easy to approach and easy to talk to, why not be that person. I am someone who naturally attracts people, I make friends easily, people approach me, and strangers open up and talk to me. I think I attribute that to my sensitivity as a person, and the caring mind that I do have toward others. I think the person I am online, is the same person I try to be in real life, talkative, open, and myself.

Here are a few ways to practice gratitude, according to Google.com:

  • Keep a gratitude journal: Write down things you’re grateful for each day.
  • Express gratitude to others: Thank people for any kindness, no matter how small. You can write a thank you card or say “thank you” first.
  • Practice gratitude meditation: Gratitude can help shift your mindset from negative to positive.
  • Thank yourself: Notice and appreciate good things in your life.
  • Practice gratitude rituals: Recall moments of gratitude associated with people, events, or your own attributes.
  • Pray: Express gratitude to a higher power or the universe.”

Be an overall good person, who is kind to others, respectful of people’s time and attention, and don’t forget to be gracious. You know not everyone has the time to talk to you, so the fact that someone is giving you the time of day, is huge. Especially when there are a million other things to do and think about in life, be grateful that someone is spending their time being around you. I think about this all the time as a blogger, why me? Why do people come and read my blog? What is it about me that keep people coming back? What can I do to maintain that audience. You will always wonder what people want, and always be concerned about what people think, the most important thing for you to do is to focus on is yourself, especially as a writer. Worry what people think, but its in the fine tuning, and details that really make the biggest difference, when acquiring an audience. Don’t skimp on details and don’t forget to be cautious on sensitive subjects. Don’t turn heads like literally away from you in life. Part of opening up and practicing good conversation, is to help put people at ease in talking to you, and able to see for themselves, and encourage them to have their own thoughts and thinking on subjects that you address. Wouldn’t the world be boring if we all thought the same things. I think part of what makes for an exciting blog, is that I am allowed to go out there on topics and speak my mind, and I think that the more confidence my audience gives me, the more confidence my audience has on topics and discussions they see as being supported by my analytics.
