Mental Health Blog

Think how fortunate ….

Think how fortunate you are, to have a roof over your head, a phone or computer to read this blog from, food on the table everyday, your education, the friends in your life, your family, and your health. All you need to realize is that you’ve made it past half the battle of being able to support yourself financially in this life and it’s time to be proud of yourself. I know it’s easy to forget all that we have and give way to emotional problems about feelings and mental health but you can do this. In fact “practicing gratitude can significantly improve mental health, reduce stress, and increase life satisfaction.” [1] It’s time to start appreciating that you are alive and healthy and have so much to live for. Keep busy, stay in action, it’s when we have too much idle time to think about life we worry ourselves sick about the future and how we are going to get there. The power lies in your present what are you doing now and what can you do better. Don’t worry too much about what other people think it’s a waste of your time. Everyone’s on their own journeys in life you included and the right people in your life will support you through and through and well those that don’t aren’t worth your time wondering about. You are a beautiful human being meant to be loved, you are strong and resilient and care about yourself, you deserve to be loved and cared for, you deserve what is best for you, and you can do whatever you set your heart and mind to. Be kind to yourself, and have faith in your abilities. There’s so much to do and maybe not enough time to do everything you have wanted in life but don’t stop dreaming.
