Moving on …

Letting go can be hard but things get better the more you believe that at some future point in time you’ll meet people that match you. It’s can be hard to move on especially when we’re comfortable living in the past, romanticizing things that are no longer. Choose which relationships serve you best.

Look back on the past with a positive mindset, take from it the good and forget the bad, it’s up to you to move forward with a clean slate don’t let the past define you or have an effect on future relationships. It’s perfectly normal to miss an old relationship [1] but that doesn’t mean you need to get back together. Sometimes an Ex isn’t best, even if it’s where we feel comfortable.

It is said that “letting go of a past relationship involves breaking cycles of idealization, processing grief, and shifting focus from what was lost to personal growth.” [2] Learn from the past and be thankful for those who chose to love you. Be proud of yourself, even if you’re single.

Challenge yourself to strive for the best, you don’t need to end up in the same types of relationships believe that you will find love again even if there were missed opportunities. Maybe you weren’t ready yet and that’s okay, everything happens for a reason. Someone out there is waiting to meet you, you’ll find your match.

There are plenty of fish in the sea. Be comforted by the past have faith that the next relationship will be better. Don’t worry about how long things will last, live for the moment. Love without expectation. Transform into the person you want to be for the next person you love. It all starts with you. Be someone who offers stability, love, unconditional acceptance which are all things that make for a good relationship.
