As a general rule, its okay to open up, but not until you get uncomfortable, this you always have to follow your instincts for, what feels right to you, no matter what is said you wont always be in control for how you are interpreted in life. There is always a downside to everything, no matter how popular you become as a blogger, its not just a personality for it you develop, that later becomes important for being able to sustain, integrity, pride, and confidence for discussion of subjects you have a divided interest, in making sure is not misconstrued. When opening up becomes invasive is when you no longer feel safe, that’s not being in control of your best interests, we cant always rely on others to promote our best interests, when harping on our past or diagnosis becomes excuse for belittlement over our direction in life. I think being a writer, who later became a recognized staple online, was just following advices from other successful bloggers, who recommended blogging everyday, to build your blog, that makes sense, when I initially started writing everyday on Twitter, I was thinking about how newspapers write and present everyday, I live in a home that received three newspapers everyday, so that was an exposure that I was privileged to witness, all the changes to newspapers during the time I decided to become a blogger. Whats a news story? Its something of interest to the public, that makes for investigation of the facts or more information in the interests of the public to know about, whether or not it concerns the public, I think we all have witnessed that what is trending is something that is generally good to know, either to help us in holding opinions about life, but help us by informing us of what is going on in the world, there are limits. I think when it comes to celebrities, if you are in the lime light, and if more is wanted to be known about your life, that is something that someone would write an article on or take a picture of, I don’t think that my story is that clear or fully developed, I don’t think its in the interests of the public to hear about someone who is not doing well who is also being treated as a “narcissist” -I just looked up the term its to describe someone who “enjoys all types of attention and likes as much to be feared as to be loved, for instance.” [1] I know I don’t, I don’t think that Im the only one who remembered the quote “hot or not” from the movie “The Social Network” some terms just stick and make you think about your own image and what you look like, I think everyone has invested in leggings and started working out by now, even if it was not a habit growing up, I have always been an athlete, so fitness and exercise comes second nature to me, not for the look, I was a club soccer player, a forward and center midfielder, so I wasn’t really concerned with looking feminine clearly if I was kicking a soccer ball around, sprinting, and making headers, I obviously didn’t think twice about what I looked like in a photograph. Blogging is kind of like sports, your performing, you have to focus on yourself, and you also have to appease your audience of supporters, and have some class, play a good game. I think a lot of life requires that we be a good sport, there is not good cause greater than wellness, so that’s not what blogging is for defending and asserting our wellness, that’s not something you can put into words and expect better treatment of you, in the public view, its whats wrong with you is to the benefit for all to know, meaning their limitations or necessity for caring, is something your fault or is what you are going through someone else fault, I think being diagnosed with schizophrenia frees everyone from blame, and also does not lighten my load in terms of recovering from all my lost years. I think like most people its hard to be close to someone who is talking to everyone, I think everyone feels more comfortable with a confidential person, friend, or intimate partner, I don’t think its something that you openly talk about, others, in fact I think that its even against the law to talk about others, people are evry defensive these days, including myself, and some people are offered protections from public discourse, they are called “private citizens,” meaning they are not public figures, given I have not had a career paid, I think it would be wrong to treat me as a paid business person, when I don’t have money, and all the money I have been given has been invested in law school and my blog, monthly payments and attorney fees, that’s doing my part to make sure that I don’t get in trouble, and to not take risks with my freedoms in life, and this is how incorporating others into your life, while in the public spotlight, can be damaging to your reputation, if there is someone who comes into your life, past everyone knowing of you, its not your side that is taken in the event that you get an unwanted pressure or attentions, its if they feel the pressure that you are under, then they hold you responsible for “any pressure,” even if its just you being yourself, being hard on yourself, or trying to do your best in order to earn a wage one day, not everyone puts a lot of pressure on themselves, most people find jobs and settle down, and grow professionally making money, I am someone who grew professionally as a writer and did not earn any income from blogging, that’s because that wasn’t my focus, my focus was on staying well, and staying out of trouble, there is always time to be in loving and trusting relationships, and there is always time to become known or to become famous, I don’t think its fair to treat someone as famous, without the resources for representing themselves to 96k people, monthly viewers, that was a huge achievement, and its something you have to be ready for, its not easy to speak if you don’t have anything to say, and its not easy to speak if you are under attack, as though you haven’t done your best to have the credentials to do what you love to do in life, blogging, which is why I am working towards getting a life coach certificate, any job that I get is my right to privacy, not something I am going to share and announce or post my resume online for everyone to critique or to judge me for, that’s not what your professional background is for, for someone to get ideas based on your experiences in life, then test you or treat you as though you are not capable of the work that you have completed, downgraded to someone pretending, you cant fake it til you make it in law school, its not something I even bought new clothes for to play the part, I wasn’t even thinking that way, wore the same three hoodies to law school, one from Kitson with angel wings, and two from Front Runners one in orange, and one in gray with a heart charm for the zipper. Getting older doesn’t mean that you are ready to speak or have to speak, I think had I not enjoyed blogging, I would not be online sharing, and that also has nothing to do with how others from a story are doing in life, everyone works independent of the other, and while it’s a supporting viewpoint to also care for others from the story, that doesn’t make all of it commercial, including everything you have to say about life, I think its easy to get carried away expecting some sensationalized version of events, I think how I was able to share, was by recalling everything that I remembered from childhood, I don’t think that I ever anticipated getting mental health issues later on, some people just want to move on and don’t want to remember what life was like back then, I would never share my story to marginalize the experiences of anyone else through the 90s up until now, I think everyone has been able to live a good life, I think life is harder now, all technological advancements aside, I think its more competitive to get into the workforce, and I don’t think you get special treatment based on who you are or who you know, accommodations made past the point of getting mental health issues, so just do your best.
