It’s not your fault …

It’s not your fault, there’s is always something eating away at us, that feeling of imperfection, or loss of self in the face of insult or disregard for our own mental health well being. There will always be a way to “break through years of self-blame, trauma, and abuse.” [1] Let’s face it the world is not perfect. We may not have all been raised the same, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to find yourself and begin again. Don’t allow others to project onto you their own inadequacies in life, it’s not your fault, don’t accept blame, you are a good person, and you deserve better in life than blame.

There is no circumstance that you can’t overcome with enough belief in yourself. When everything is telling you you can’t do something, there will always be some way to see beyond present difficulties, and with pride, let nothing nor no one stand in the way between your health and overall happiness. If you put in the work, these circumstances will pass, whether it’s the next day, the next month, or the next hour, have faith. The past is the past, sometimes thats all we have is to move forward, and that should set you free, of what happened in your life, that is making you feel hurt, or not good enough in life.

According to Google, when we say it’s not your fault, this can reference “an empathetic phrase used to absolve someone of blame, guilt, or responsibility for a negative event, often when they have internalized it or face trauma. It affirms that they did not cause the situation and cannot be held responsible. It is heavily associated with healing from abuse or accidents.” [2] There may be events in our lives that cause us to feel “distress, fear, or pain.” [3] For some it can lead to self-destructive tendencies. There is a way out, with help and support from others. You can’t do this alone, especially if you are a victim, it’s not your fault.
