Learn to go with the flow. “Most people define it as an ability to change course, without getting stuck, when things don’t go as you planned.” [1] They say that “Practices, such as mindfulness and examining your values, may help you find your flow.” [2] Remember that “practice makes perfect.” [3] Be able to stay in the present moment. The more present you are the better able you’ll be to function in the event that you lose your footing or get frazzled.
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” – Lao-Tzu [4]
What is going with the flow? “It’s rolling with the punches. It’s accepting change without getting angry or frustrated. It’s taking what life gives you, rather than trying to mold life to be exactly as you want it to be.” [5] “Go with the flow” is an idiom that means to accept a situation and let things happen rather than trying to control them.
