Too often we feel repressed by too much worry for what others think. It may be hard to be our happy open selves. It’s okay to be humorous and be yourself. There’s no rhyme or reason to managing your reputation. Just be a good person. We all mean well, so long as your coming from a good place others should be understanding of you not misunderstand you or your demeanor.
According to Merriam Webster reputation can be a “public regard held about a person, organization, or thing, based on past behavior, character, or performance.” It’s your “good name” or social standing” in a community either favorable or unfavorable. [1]
I guess a lot of my insecurity stems from what other people think of me, while my blog proves wrong the negatives, some times we don’t play up the positives about ourselves enough. Think of all the friends you have, your family, positive rapport with people in the community, sometimes that’s all that people ask for. It’s a matter of proving yourself in the face of adversity. It is said that “Reputation is what others think of you; character is who you actually are.” [2]
People will think what they want to think the only person you have control over is yourself. Don’t feel pressured to be something that youre not.
I for example know that I’m a blogger. I may fan politicians but that doesn’t mean I should be treated any different for my beliefs in life which are put in writing. We all have different ideas about life it’s okay for people to support one another for who they are in life. Including people with mental health issues or disability.
What is popular is a common ground is one in which all can think about life not feel judged for the opinions they hold. Let’s just hope it’s not about one another solely that would be fighting most can’t withstand a fight in life. It’s also not becoming of others or myself included to fight.
There has to be some balance to how high you hold others or what you make them out to be. Doesn’t matter if they know celebrities or how they grew up, who are they now and think about how much they mean to others. Too often we see people bigger than they are and this can lead to an unfair treatment of a person who maybe isn’t that big or seemingly bigger than how a person feels compared to another.
We are all human not everyone is able to handle complaint in life, maybe theyre not the one to complain to in life about what’s bothering some of others. We just do our best to be loving and accepting of all and maybe others should do the same.
