Practice gratitude …

The quickest way to be happy is to be thankful for the day, and others. With grace be thankful for all that you have and all that you are. What are you going to do to get to where you want to be in life? Start by practicing gratitude be mindful of what you do have in life with less focus on the negative. Don’t forget to say thank you to those who are there for you during difficult times, acknowledge others. No contribution of time, effort, and energy is ever too small to not be thankful for in life.

“Practicing gratitude involves intentionally focusing on and appreciating the positive aspects of life” this can boost “happiness and well-being.” [1] When we appreciate others, we are letting them know that we recognize their hard work in supporting us in life.

It’s not just us that needs to be happy, everyone else wants us to be happy too. We all affect eachother, especially those around us and those closest to you. Energy flows where energy goes. It’s that infectious ability to be happy is what attracts all things positive back into your life especially after a down. Reflect on what needs work and don’t stop trying to better yourself everyday.

Ways to practice gratitude:

(1) Keep a gratitude journal

(2) Practice mindfulness

(3) Reflect on positive moments

(4) Identify 3-5 things your thankful for [2]

When you “shift your brain’s focus from negative to positive” you improve your mental health, it betters relationships, and helps to reduce stress.” [3] Happiness occurs when we are thankful, don’t forget to practice gratitude daily.
