Why do we think less of ourselves …

It all has to do with self-esteem, why do we think less of ourselves? How we talk to ourselves matters it’s not just what other people think that should be guiding how we feel about ourselves. It’s that negative thought loop and inner critic that diminishes our self-worth. Telling yourself you’re not good enough is only going to make things worse. Focus on your strengths not your weaknesses. Think of yourself as an asset, how are you going to take care of yourself in a way that makes you feel good about being you. It’s when we feel good about ourselves that everything around us starts to change including how other people treat us.

Maybe it’s a past relationship or interaction that’s got you stuck in your head in a negative spiral don’t let what other people say to you get under your skin.

Everyone’s got their own problems, maybe they didn’t mean to insult you, people sometimes just have a way of always coming across as demeaning see that as a reflection of their own insecurities don’t make other peoples negativity affect your own perspective in life and how you feel about yourself. “Constantly being criticized, living up to impossibly high expectation … can lead to a deeply ingrained belief that you are “not good enough.”

When you sense things are off take a step back, reassess your thoughts, is it your thinking that is getting you down in life, how can you change your thinking to believe in the positive not believe those negative thoughts holding you back. “Thinking less of ourselves—or struggling with low self-esteem—is usually driven by a combination of factors including ongoing life stressors. It can also stem from the way we evaluate our worth compared to others.”

When we measure our worth against others, we are comparing ourselves, never compare yourself. Your failures in life don’t make you who you are. Think of all that you are and instead take proactive steps to feel more fulfilled and successful in life, it’s all a matter of time you get to choose how you live your days it’s up to you -has nothing to do with what anyone else is doing in life. You be you. It’s these idealized images of what life should be like that leaves us feeling inferior. It happens to the best of us. “When you stop obsessively evaluating and comparing your own worth, you create mental space to pursue passions, help others, and build a quiet, grounded confidence.”
