Mental Health Blog

We all have the potential to help others it’s all matter of believing in yourself and knowing that you can. You can’t give what you don’t have in life. If you want to give back to the world build a good life for yourself, one where you’re happy, positive, driven, and determined. People want to surround themselves with go getters in life, those ingrain to speak to mind, and excellent at giving feedback. If we’re not growing together how can we stay together.

It is said that “You cannot offer emotional support, patience, love, or financial help to others if you do not possess or cultivate them within yourself first.” [1] What does that mean? It means you care about yourself enough that you don’t burden others with your problems in life. Don’t we all struggle from time to time. But if you want others to get through it to, follow your instincts and don’t let others down.

First and foremost we all have something to give in life whether you realize it or not. Not just the things listed above. Taking good care of ourselves fosters a better understanding of others for what they go through. “If you do not care for your own mental health and well-being, you will not be able to adequately give emotional care or support to others.” [2] There’s truth to that. Some simple ways you can help others is by “Checking in on a friend or neighbor with a phone call, note, or a listening ear.” [3]
