Mental Health Blog

As a blogger you’re not expected to be well everyday or always prepared for the days challenges. Just do your best and hopefully others are receptive to your ups and downs in life. It is said that when “mentally drained, anxious, or overwhelmed—stepping away from social media can help lower your stress and support recovery.” [1]

After years of blogging I do my best to remain balanced, even on tough days with mental health issues, no matter what the symptoms are not allow that to affect my writing or negatively impact my viewpoint. It can be easy or difficult for a reader to understand why you’re not feeling well, or why you can’t stay well everyday even when it seems like you are doing well. There are benefits of looking at things from the outside, don’t allow my setbacks to affect you please. It can be harder standing where we are to analyze our own thoughts, but we have to if we want to stay well. There’s only so much time to spend in treatment or with a therapist for the most part day to day we are left to our own devices in life.

I know when I’m not feeling well I email my psychiatrist or talk to supportive people who are on my team in life and want to see me do well, to continue living in recovery from mental heath issues keep them in remission. Do your best to keep going, one day at a time. Take it easy, don’t be too hard on yourself, and take breaks when necessary, and hope all are understanding of you too.
