Sometimes romance fails and your friends at best and that’s ok. When part of us longs for companionship this can be hard when what feels like shared chemistry is really just you romanizing the situation to be more than it is. You’ll know when it’s love.
Sometimes it feels like love when we are insecure about where we stand with others. Trust that they care but on both ends you might just not be ready for that type of relationship and just friends is ok that’s better than nothing.
Learn to let go, don’t build easy attachments with others that just leave you feel abandoned and lost. There no reason to subject yourself to getting hurt longing for those who aren’t meant for you. The key is to find people emotionally available to talk with and feel close to.
With rejection comes redirection that much closer to finding your match and not waste time worrying about what you don’t have in life and have more focus on what could be. What if everything happens for a reason? It’s okay, you’ll grow from those painful experiences in life and it’s good to know that it’s normal to be someone that “builds a strong attachment quickly and misinterpret small moments as deep rejection.” [1] When you “put the other person on a pedestal, making you crave constant” reassurance you might not get. It’s normal “ to want closeness deeply, but also fear losing it.” The more you love yourself the less power you give to people places and things that take your power away, have some self control weigh the possibilities, if this is not how you want to feel, it’s okay to take a step back and take better care of yourself not expect someone to take care of you. You can do this!
