Mental Health Blog

There are always two people in life. The doers and the bystander, those positive and negative, happy and sad, uplifting or a down on themselves, and those fulfilled and unfulfilled the list goes on. Have a can do attitude and don’t be hard on yourself.

No matter where you stand on the spectrum there’s always time to join another team in life. You don’t have to stay put you have permission to keep evolving and finding your way in life.

Don’t compare yourself. You can even keep your wins to yourself. “There are only two people in this world you should ever compare yourself to: your past self and your future self.” [1] Whereby in the past you might have been one way, but have learned and grown from those experiences, to look at things differently today including how you view yourself.

Self reflection doesn’t mean picking yourself apart. It’s about recognizing your strengths and growing from within becoming a more whole person. You truly are capable of achieving a great many things in life. Believe in yourself. You can do this!

Love your past self and embrace your present self. It’s your whole life you have to be appreciative of, the good and the bad moments all make you who you are. Love yourself, be kind to yourself, and never give up. “Looking back to see how much you have grown, what you have learned, and the obstacles you have already overcome.” [2] All the cornerstones of self-growth which is “an ongoing, lifelong journey of developing new skills, mindsets, habits, and self-awareness to realize your full human potential.” [3]
