Mean things people say …

People say mean things. Maybe they have not yet evolved toward acceptance for all. Still prejudicial not yet acclimated to environments in which all are welcome. When someone says something mean that’s a reflection of their own insecurities about rejection for who they are isn’t about others and what they are not should instead turn inward for forgiveness for their own inadequacies in life. If all belong then why should we accept someone who does not accept all?

Acceptance for all “fosters empathy and unity by respecting people for who they are.” [1] Acceptance means you “acknowledge reality without judgment, rather than fighting to control uncontrollable situations.” [2] When people are mean this can affect us mentally and emotionally make sure to “Reach out to trusted friends, family, or professional counselors to manage the stress that discrimination can cause.” [3] In addition set boundaries “Recognize that you are not responsible for changing others’ behavior; focus on protecting your own peace and energy.” [4]

Humanity depends on acceptance no matter their placement we cannot function as a society without acceptance for all, if they don’t belong that’s a choice the justice system makes not the choice for anyone, not an employer, not a therapist, not a meeting, not a psychiatrist, not a treatment center, not a school, and not society in general.

All should be accepted no matter their education, length of sobriety, disability, language, religion, mental health, fitness, physical health, weight, sexuality or facial deficiencies in life. All people are beautiful, learn to appreciate people for who they are on the inside and not judge people for how they look.
