Things Get Better …

,

Before you throw a fit and get upset remind yourself that things get better. I know it’s hard standing in your shoes to realize any dream in life you’ve felt worth investing your time and future in, but with enough practice you will get better, maybe not from the start, but you’ll get there, just believe in yourself.

I started a new course recently on how to teach others to share their story. Still learning. I know self-harm has been a big part of my story and it’s not something I’m proud of, it’s really embarrassing, and does not reflect positively on me, I can’t believe I still do that.

Getting to the root of the issue will be key to your progress understand the reasons and the triggers behind how you react then change how you react by changing your frame of mind. For me to video from #laxcourthouse helps me, it immediately shifts my focus from me to everyone, and when you’re thinking of everyone, and when you’re feeling you’re being watched, you begin to think less of yourself and more about others and sometimes that helps to be a little less selfish or disoriented by you’re own feelings & emotions.

Tips for Overcoming Self-Harm [1]:

  • (1) Know Your Triggers
  • (2) Know Your Patterns
  • (3) Distract Yourself
  • (4) Understand Repetitive Thoughts
  • (5) Have a Plan in Case You Get an Urge
  • (6) Write Down What You’re Feeling
  • (7) Exercise, Stretch, Do Calm App Relax
  • (8) Read a Book, Try Audible, or Udemy

I’ve always thought that self-harm or suicide is a stupid reaction to a bunch of other poor reactions carried within, I know that’s been my experience, never give up, think what’s making me so emotional and immature about life and how can I make things better for myself & others, how can I improve, without hurting myself in the process.

Life can be tough, but so are you. Credit yourself for how far you’ve come, have faith in good things to come, we are all worth a good life, it’s all a matter of appreciating where you are now and making the most out of what you do have in life.

I know I’m not perfect, but I try hard, and I very much want all of you to feel safe by my blog not feel exposed to any truths in life you’re unwilling to accept or find bothersome so I’ll do my best to leave things open and give everyone an opportunity to see life for themselves too and not be afraid to share their opinions, like me on the blog! Good luck.
